Located in Western Uganda, 240km west of Kampala, this is one of the smallest national parks in Uganda. It is accessible by road or flight to Mbarara Airstrip, located within Mbarara town - the largest town in western Uganda - approximately 30km from the park.
The park is a distinct destination since it offers an array of additional activities aside from game viewing including sport fishing, fishing, cultural tours, hiking and nature walks, horse-back riding, quad biking and night game drives.
Wildlife in the park include zebra, warthog, hippopotamus, African buffalo, common eland, leopards, jackals, genets, hyenas, civets, serval cats, alongside at least 300 bird species.
